Small but excellent: Ibiza’s little sister. That is Formentera. The island covers about 82 square kilometers. Its coast line with a length of more or less 69 kilometers is characterized by long sandy beaches and rocky cliffs.
The little capital of Formentera is called Sant Francesc Xavier; it is the biggest place on the island and is very popular with the inhabitants and tourists as well.
For a wonderful view over the whole island you should go to the lighthouse Mola. It is located about two kilometers away from El Pilar on the plateau of La Mola, with 192 meters above sea the highest point of Formentera.
Formentera with its natural landscape and intensive scent of pine trees and rosemary is a paradise-like island surrounded by the fantastic turquoise sea.
